This instrument can also be used to measure neutral current and all three current and voltage phases (when used with three-phase and neutral voltage test leads, and flexible current probes). In addition to monitoring up to five-hundred power parameters, the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger can capture events. It can be used to record event waveforms as well as determine an RMS event profile which includes the date, time and any severity information. These additional features mean that the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger can be used to identify root causes of power quality issues.
The comprehensive measurement and event capture capabilities of the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger make is suited to assessing power quality in accordance with EN 50160 and IEEE 519 standards, whether testing at the service entrance, substation or at the load.
Memory and Data Download:
The Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger ensures that measurement trends are complete by automatically logging a variety of power quality and power variables. It is possible to save in excess of twenty separate logging sessions to the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger.
Recorded measurements may be downloaded to a USB drive and/or communicated to PC via a wired or WIFI connection. It is also possible to transfer data via an Ethernet connection. The Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger includes two USB ports allowing the user to connect the instrument to a PC and a USB drive, enabling him/her to log data continuously and without having to remove the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger from the field. Wi-Fi connectivity also allows the user to view data remotely outside of dangerous environments, reducing the need for expensive PPE.
Analysis and Reporting:
The Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger is supplied with Fluke’s Energy Analyse Plus Software. This program can be used to view data remotely and in real-time using a Wi-Fi connection, analyse logged data, and create standardised reports. At the touch of a button, the Energy Analyse Plus Software is able to create EN 50160, IEEE 519, GOST 33073 reports. The user may adjust the report templates to remain in-line with standards as they evolve.
This software program can also be used to export data in PQDIF or NeQual formats allowing it to be used with third-party software.
Furthermore, the Energy Analyse Plus Software can be used to analyse every detail of energy consumption and power-quality state-of-health. The user is able to select a particular parameter to create a customised view of logged measurements and facilitates advanced data correlation. It is possible to view hour/hour, day/day and week/week comparisons by selecting the relevant thumbnail.
Moreover, this software program will calculate the limits of current harmonics based on the installation parameters thereby enabling the user to predict grid overload according to a range of international standards. This, in turn, allows the technician or engineer to prevent unexpected failures or non-compliance situations by monitoring harmonics before distortion appears in the voltage, thereby increasing the system’s uptime.
Ergonomic, Rugged Design:
System Interface
The Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger is equipped with a quick, guided and graphical PC-based application setup ensuring that the user is always able to capture the desired data. Further to this, the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger’s intelligent verification feature ensures that the necessary test leads and clamps are connected correctly. If a connection error is detected the power button will display an amber light, this changes to green when the connection is corrected. The Fluke 1748/ EUS is capable of correcting connections digitally without the user having to remove connected leads or clamps.
Also improving this instrument’s ease-of-operation is its automatic detection, scaling and powering of the connected probes, thereby ensuring the accuracy of detected measurements. Moreover, up to four current probes can be connected separately to the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger thereby allowing for greater flexibility.
Physical Design
Similarly improving the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger’s flexibility is its ability to be powered by the circuit it is testing; this instrument has a wide power range and will automatically go from 100V to 500V. Alternatively; it may be powered by a wall line cord. Its wide power range and ability to be powered using various methods expand the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger’s scope-for-use.
The Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with an operating time of four hours per charge ensuring that it is able to withstand temporary power disruptions.
Additionally, the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger has the highest safety rating in the industry, again expanding its scope-for-use. With a rating of 600V CAT IV/ 1000V CAT III, the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger can be used at service entrances and downstream.
Its small size also adds to the versatility of the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger as it can be placed in tight spaces; it has the following dimensions 23cm x 18cm x 5.4cm. The supplied magnetic hanger ensures that the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger can be stored safely inside or outside the panel.
When left on-site, the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger may be safeguarded against theft using a standard chain or another security instrument, whilst its rugged, IP65 design (when used with an IP65 voltage input adapter) ensures that it is protected against physical damage when used or left on-site. All of the Fluke 1748/ EUS Three-Phase Power Quality Logger’s ports (AUX, I/O, USB and Ethernet) are compliant with IP65 ensuring that they are resistant to dust and moisture ingress when not in use.
Accessories
The supplied flexible current probes (NOT supplied with the Fluke 1748/ B/EUS version) are also IP65 certified, making them suitable for most installations. They are thin in design ensuring that they can be used to access tight spaces and include a wide range (probe dependent) for high accuracy in each application.
